OSPF Version 3 for IPv6

OSPFv3 only advertise IPv6 Prefix, thus OSPFv2 and OSPFv3 should both be running in IPv4 and IPv6 co-exist networks. Comparison between OSPFv2 and OSPF v3 is as below:

NOTE: same as OSPFv2, OSPFv3 can not be activated until a valid router ID exist.

Configuration Steps for IPv6
Step 1: enable IPv6 routing
Router(config)# ipv6 unicast-routing
Step 2: create an OSPFv3 instance
Router(config)# ipv6 router ospf process-id
router-id x.x.x.x
step 3: enable IPv6 on interface
Router(config-if)# ipv6 address xxxx/64
Step 4: enable OSPFv3 on the interface
Router(config-if)# ipv6 ospf process-id area area-number
